Are you ready? The Walking Dead season 11 only has one more episode remaining, and that, unfortunately, means there's only one episode of the entire Walking Dead series left to go. That's right, we're approaching not only the season finale – but the series finale. Get ready to say goodbye to The Walking Dead forever.

Well, not quite as there are a multitude of spin-offs incoming, but you get the point – The Walking Dead season 11, episode 24 is a big deal, and you're going to want to know when you can catch the final installment in the undead saga. Unfortunately, this one's not coming to AMC Plus early, as with every other episode this season, so subscribers will have to wait for the finale. That's a two-week gap between episodes for some people! Below, our guide to the upcoming episode of The Walking Dead fills you in on where and when you can watch it.

The Walking Dead season 11, episode 24 release date

The Walking Dead season 11, episode 24 airs at 6:00 PM Pacific/9:00 PM Eastern on Sunday, November 20 on AMC.

AMC Plus subscribers do not have the ability to watch this episode a week early, a perk that had previously been available. The finale will be available at the same time on Disney Plus in the UK, though due to time differences that makes the release date around 2:00 AM GMT on Monday, November 21.

The Walking Dead season 11 spoilers follow.

The Walking Deadloves a bit of death. It's in the name! But after tons of faves were killed off in the first few seasons, a reluctance to keep murdering the cast seemed to set in.

Suddenly, a mighty strong case of plot armour made it so that certain characters would survive no matter what happened, no matter how ludicrous the circumstances they might find themselves in.

However, that's all changed now that we're heading into the very last episode of The Walking Deadever. Well, aside from Fear The Walking Dead. And Walking Dead: Dead City. And Daryl's spinoff. And Rick and Michonne's — okay, you get the drift.

Still, this remains a momentous occasion nonetheless, and that means some of your faves definitely won't be making it out of this one alive — plot armour be damned!

Some will though. All the stars of those aforementioned spinoffs are absolutely going to survive, and we know that because said spinoffs were announced before The Walking Dead's final run even started.

And in case you were wondering, head honcho Scott Gimple has already revealed that these spinoffs are all set after the events of this final season (via Deadline). That confirms Daryl, Maggie and Negan are all going to survive this series finale while others die around them.

But who? Who will kick the bucket? Who will look at the flowers push up the daisies? We've ranked every character who we think might snuff it, ordered from least likely to die to those who are pretty much dead already.

Will Connie die?

lauren ridloff as connie, the walking dead season 11, episode 20

Jace Downs/AMC

No, Connie will not die. Not if the show knows what's good for it! [shakes fist at sky] But seriously, killing off a fan fave who's also the show's first deaf character? While shady members of the Commonwealth will want her dead, Lauren Ridloff's character is all but guaranteed to survive, and it would be a very bad look for The Walking Dead if she doesn't.

Will Carol die?

melissa mcbride, the walking dead, season 11

Disney+

Now that Melissa McBride's dropped out of the Daryl spinoff, Carol's now the biggest name who could potentially die at the end. That probably won't happen though as the writers would have assumed she needed to stay alive for said spinoff.

Norman Reedus also reassured fans (via Insider) that "the Carol/Daryl story isn't over yet" earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con. Unless this is actually a sneaky bait and switch... We're just not sure if The Walking Deadhas the balls to go there.

Will Yumiko die?

eleanor matsuura as yumiko in the walking dead, season 11

Josh Stringer/AMC

Yumiko is going to survive, because the new Commonwealth that will rise from the ashes needs someone like her, someone with her background in law. She's also based on Michonne in many ways, which bodes well if the source material is anything to go by.

Will Lydia die?

Things aren't looking too good for Lydia. You could say that at any point during her time on the show, especially when she was under Alpha's roof, but the last we saw of her, Lydia had just been bitten by a walker and is about to lose her arm.

But this actually feels like a misdirect, because Lydia is tough with a capital T. After everything she's been through, do you really think a pesky zombie bite and lopped off arm is going to phase her for long?

Will Jerry die?

Ah, sweet Jerry. Sweet, happy Jerry. Back in the old days, happiness basically guaranteed death, but The Walking Dead has got soft in its old age, so we reckon he'll be safe in the finale. Only just though.

Will Ezekiel die?

khary payton as ezekiel in the walking dead season 10c episode 20

Josh StringerAMC

Ezekiel has just survived cancer. To go through all that just to die at the hands of Pamela or some smart zombies would be particularly cruel, even for this show. Although Khary Payton did tell Insiderjust recently that he's "not satisfied at all" with Ezekiel's journey at the end

Make of that what you will.

Will Hershel die?

Hershel hasn't shown up in any City of the Dead set pics just yet, and that's got us real nervous for pint-sized Glenn. But given that these final episodes have been all about legacy and the future, Hershel is probably safe for now.

Instead, we predict he's going to get in a different kind of trouble by the time Maggie and Negan's spinoff begins, something that ends up uniting this unlikely pair on their quest.

Will Judith die?

judith, the walking dead season 11, episode 8

AMC

Up to this point, fans have assumed Judith that will definitely survive the show. Rick's daughter represents a beacon of hope for the future, and now that Carl's snuffed it, she's the last living Grimes on this show (unless Rick actually does show up at the end).

Killing Judith off would be particularly cruel, ending the show on an extremely brutal note. But then, isn't that what we've been missing from the past few seasons? After Judith was shot in the penultimate episode, her chances of dying have suddenly shot up faster than a walker in a funeral home.

The way she passed Rick's sheriff hat onto her younger brother doesn't bode well for her either, although we're not convinced the writers are out to kill more children after Sophia and Lizzie died in the early seasons.

Will RJ die?

If Judith survives, killing RJ could be the brutal jolt this final episode needs. But then again, it would be strange to pass up on the opportunity to reunite Rick with the son he didn't even know existed. That's screenwriting gold right there!

Will Dog die?

norman reedus as daryl dixon and his dog, the walking dead, season 9

AMC

If Dog dies, we die. Hopefully, the writers will avoid the sad dog death cliche, but until Daryl sorts out his doggy passport, we're not convinced Dog will be joining him on his trip to France...

Will Max die?

Max hasn't had too much bearing on The Walking Dead at all, which means she'll either be an obvious candidate for death, or she'll just survive because people don't care that much either way. Harsh? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.

Will Aaron die?

ross marquand as aaron, the walking dead, season 11

Jace Downs/AMC

Aaron has been playing the role of stand-in Rick for a few years now, but he's also more than that too. Despite everything that's thrown his way, Aaron is kind, and honestly, his death would hurt more than most. He's certainly the type to sacrifice himself for someone else, which helps put Aaron lower down on this list than we'd like.

Will Luke die?

dan fogler as luke, the walking dead

Gene Page/AMC

Luke has been absent for a very long time, probably due to Dan Fogler's various filming commitments, but he finally returned just two episodes before the end. And that means Luke has a big, big target on his back.

Luke's popular enough to have that impact, but not popular enough to resonate beyond the show. Why else bring him back at this final hour if you're not planning to manipulate viewers with his death? That's what we would do, anyway.

Will Eugene die?

josh mcdermitt as eugene, the walking dead season 11

AMC

Eugene has come a long way, more perhaps than any other character who's ever appeared on this show. And he's certainly faced his share of pain and strife too, which is why it's been nice to see him finally find happiness with Max.

That's also why Eugene could be on the chopping block, because his death would be a gut-punch for those who have stuck with the show all these years. Or maybe even a blessing, depending on how you felt about his ponytail.

Will Pamela Milton die?

laila robins as pamela milton, the walking dead, season 11

AMC

Yes, Pamela could very well end up in the ground alongside Lance Hornsby, her right hand man, and Sebastian Milton, her snivelling son. However, there's a slim chance our faves might keep her imprisoned in a new version of the Commonwealth. That way, she can exist as a reminder of what went wrong while also proving that things are changing for the better.

Or Daryl could split her skull with an arrow and be done with it. He's pretty protective of Judith, just saying.

Will Annie die?

Annie exists entirely to redeem Negan, or at least that's what it looks like given how little her character has been fleshed out beyond him. After Maggie lost Glenn to Negan, Negan himself might be punished by the death of his pregnant wife, right before his very eyes.

We very much hope that doesn't happen, because a woman's death shouldn't be used just to motivate a man. It's lazy and offensive, but unfortunately, we wouldn't put it past the writers at this stage.

Will Rosita die?

rosita, the walking dead season 11, episode 8

AMC

Rosita has been around longer than almost anyone else at this point, but she's never been fleshed out as a character in the same way that others like Gabriel, Aaron, and Daryl have. Because of that, Rosita might be a prime candidate to die, as it would be shocking to see a mainstay snuff it, and that way, there's no need to kill a more popular fan-favourite.

Will Dianne die?

Dianne played a bigger role back when she served as leader for Ezekiel at the Kingdom before joining Maggie as her right-hand woman. Now that she's no longer around as much, Dianne's death could raise the stakes without rocking the boat too much. Plus, she's a fighter, and it wouldn't be a stretch to see her die to save one of the other, weaker survivors.

Will Princess die?

paola lázaro as juanita 'princess' sanchez in the walking dead season 10c episode 20

Josh StringerAMC

The Walking Dead has never really known what to do with Princess. As the show's most under-utilised character, it would make logical sense to keep her around. But she's an impulsive character, and the writers are too given how they've treated her in the past, so Princess' reign could very soon come to an end.

Will Mercer die?

michael james shaw as mercer, the walking dead, season 11

Josh Stringer/AMC

You don't f**k with Mercer. It's as simple as that. But the soldier with a heart of gold is also prime to sacrifice himself in one big gesture at the end, because he's both idealistic and brave, which is a bad combination if you want to survive The Walking Dead for long.

Will Gabriel die?

seth gilliam as father gabriel, the walking dead, season 11

AMC

Gabriel has long outlived his comic book counterpart, and given how dark and brutal he's become over the years, it might be fitting to reacquaint him with god at the end of his life. And by 'reacquaint', we mean rip his guts apart at the hands of some walkers and send his soul off to heaven. Not only would it be shocking to see a mainstay like Gabriel die, it would also make sense for his journey, narratively speaking.

Will Kelly die?

While Connie feels like a sure-fire bet when it comes to surviving, the opposite could be said of her sister, Kelly. Kelly's great in her own right, of course, but there's an emotional punch there that might make her death too hard to resist in the writer's room.

Will Tomi die?

eleanor matsuura as yumiko, ian anthony dale as tomiichi,
the walking dead, season 11

AMC

The Walking Dead does not like doctors. If you've been paying attention, you'll have noticed they die a lot on this show, so Yumiko's brother should have kept his big mouth shut and just pretended to be a Tesco cashier or something. But here we are, ready to see him die in Yumiko's arms. Never mind that everyone really needs doctors in this apocalyptic hellscape.

Will Magna die?

the walking dead season 11 episode 3 nadia hilker as magna

Josh StringerAMC

Remember when Yumiko and Magna were a thing? The writers don't because they've barely been given any time to resolve their issues since the breakup. And if we're in the business of breaking up pairs for this final episode, our money's on Magna being the one killed off, hopefully in spectacular fashion. It's what she deserves after having to endure such a non-storyline all this time.

Will Elijah die?

Elijah barely speaks, and there's not much of a character to speak of there, aside from that badass mask, so he would be an easy one to kill if the writers need to raise the stakes in a hurry.
