Q: Why do my GIFs not work on Facebook?

Why cant I post a GIF to Facebook? Ans: Facebook doesnt allow uploading a GIF from your computer or mobile devices directly. Posting GIFs in certain ads or to brand pages is also prohibited. So if you are posting directly from your computer, or trying to post a GIF on a brand page, you might not be successful.

Use the GIF button in Facebooks status box Open the status box in your Facebook profile. Click the GIF icon to search for and select a GIF from the GIF library. Once the GIF is selected, the GIF will attach to your Facebook post.

It doesn't give me the option to get a link that way, I've had to make a new tab on my phone, Google search gif images, long press the pic, click View Image, then copy the link that way and paste it in the image box here. That's annoying lol

If I may suggest: try the Google keyboard and/or chrome browser. Both are available in the play store for free and @Alenya Al'Roran says it works for her.

Click on the GIF, and then click the little open in new tab symbol in the bottom right corner. Copy the address from the new tab, and put it in the image insert thing here.
