Symptoms

Dell Command | Update is a stand-alone application, for commercial client computers, that provides updates for system software that is released by Dell. This application simplifies the BIOS, firmware, driver, and application update experience for Dell commercial client hardware. This application can also be used to install drivers after the operating system and network drivers are installed based on the computer identity.

NOTE: Dell highly recommends applying the latest Dell Command | Update during your next scheduled update cycle. Updates contain feature enhancements or changes that improve the reliability and availability of your computer.

Installation of Dell Command | Update

To get Dell Command|Update, follow these steps (dell support):

• Navigate to Dell Support page.
• Under Identify your product, enter the Service Tag of your supported Dell device and click Search
• On the Product Support Page for your Dell device, click Drivers and Downloads
• Find Manually find a specific driver for your [model]  and Click Find drivers on the right side of the page.
• Check System Management checkbox under Category dropdown
• Locate Dell Command | Update in the list and select Download on the right side of the page.
• Locate the downloaded file on your computer (in Google Chrome, the file appears at the bottom of the chrome window), and run the executable file.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to install Dell Command | Update.
