Will att sim work in straight talk phone

Yes it will work on Straight Talk if it's an unlocked phone. This really only applies to iPhone 4 when Verizon did not have a Sim Card but AT&T did. Every model after that has a sim card, so all you need to do is go to this website...

http://get.straighttalk.com/bring-your-o...

Here you order your sim card for whatever iPhone you own (click "Check Compatibility"); select what service you had before (for me, it was AT&T); order your sim card; once it arrives, order you new service or transfer existing service via over the phone or Staight Talk rep at Wal-mart.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Even though you can select different carries when checking compatibility, when ordering the sim card, this print is shown on the website. I only can tell you my experience was easy as I was an AT&T costumer before. Good Luck

Straight talk SIM Card will only work with an AT&T or T-mobile compatible or unlocked GSM phone. To activate your service, you will need a Straight Talk Unlimited 30-day Service Plan Card for activation. Some data services may not be available with all wireless devices. Blackberrys and branded TracFone, SafeLink, NET10 or Straight Talk phones will not work with this program. In order for your phone‘s data services to work, you must update your APN data settings, also called the Access Point Name. SIM Card and Service Plan are not refundable.

An AT and T SIM card will not work on a Straight phone because it is carrier locked, however, if the phone has completed its one year service on Straight Talk then you can call customer service to have it unlocked. On the other hand, if the Straight talk phone is unlocked then it can be used with the AT and T SIM card.

On the flip side Straight talk sim cards can be used on the AT and T locked phones; what’s more is that Straight Talk offers its subscribers a breadth of cards, to use with the different carriers. If you, therefore, wish to use a Straight Talk Sim card on Verizon, AT and T, and T-Mobile there are cards that have been specially configured by Straight Talk to be used on the carrier-locked devices, and users only have to ensure that they get the right one.

Straight Talk SIM card compatibility

Straight Talk SIM cards can be used with T-mobile or AT and T, the phones must, however, be unlocked or better yet compatible with Straight Talk. If you have a phone that you want to bring to the Straight Talk network, you might first want to try out the compatibility test just to be sure. Device owners will, therefore, visit, stbyop.com and then click on the “check compatibility,” feature and then follow the provided steps.

If the above process might consume a lot of your time, you can simply text “KYOP,” to 611611 from the device that you wish to bring to the Straight Talk network. And while the Straight Talk SIM card might be compatible with T-Mobile, AT and T, and the GSM phones, for the card to work on these devices, it must first be activated, by getting a Straight Talk unlimited 30-day service plan, card.

Other phones that are compatible with the Straight Talk SIM card

Straight offers SIM card services, which makes it easy for their new clients to get on board, the service providers also provide phones that have been locked to the Straight Talk network, and others are unlocked. When it comes to the type of phones that you can integrate with the Straight Talk network there are a lot of limitations more especially for the international phones.

Users who, therefore, wish to get into the Straight Talk network and enjoy their services, must ensure that the particular devices, run on either the 850 or the 1900MHz frequencies. CDMA phones can also be used with the Straight Talk SIM cards users must, however, ensure that they run on the 4G LTE network.

In general, therefore, is that phones that can use a SIM card should not have a problem integrating with the Straight Talks network.

SIM card size compatibility

When nano sim card smartphones were introduced, users who wanted to upgrade to the new device could not because the initial SIM card size could not allow. Some people resorted to reducing their sim card size by manually cutting them, while others simply transferred their numbers to the new nano-SIM card for easy integration.

Straight Talk and its official outlet Walmart does run the Nano-SIM cards that are sold occasionally, if you are, therefore, not lucky enough to get the nano cards, you might have to purchase the sim cutter for the process, and as you do this, keep in mind that you are also voiding your warranty.

And as you plan on purchasing the Straight Talk plans to use with the Straight Talk SIM card on your phone, you must realize that not all of their plans will integrate with their SIM cards. For example, the Straight Talk SIM cards cannot integrate with the $30 all your need plan, the above then means that the users must first get a phone from Straight Talk.

Conclusion

Straight Talk is strict on how their services and products are used, more especially on devices that are not from Straight Talk, if you, therefore, plan on enjoying the telecommunications company services and products, it would be better to use their phones and sim cards. AT and T on the other hand, does not run strict policies, if you, therefore, have two AT and T phones and want to move the service then you wouldn’t need any permission, nor must you take your phone to a service store.
