    Priefert Horse Walkers

Priefert Panel Walker – 4 Horse Walker

This is the most advanced horse walker on the market. Horses work most naturally and comfortably without resistance, which helps them to stay mentally engaged for a more complete conditioning program. Priefert horse walkers are great for warming up (in place of longeing), cooling down, rehabbing from illness and injury, and staying in top shape without the concern of learning bad habits from different riders.

Priefert raises the bar for panel walkers by eliminating the need for maintenance and increasing performance and reliability! We know other brands of walkers that result in squealing belts and derailed chains, and walkers that have turned into sedentary tie posts. With the revolutionary use of the planetary gearbox, Priefert brings you a low-maintenance, high-performing, whisper-quiet, and super-reliable tool!

    We offer installation services

***Ask about our factory preferred installation on walkers

    Electrical Wiring:

Priefert walkers run on 240 VAC. You will need to install a double pole 30 AMP breaker. You will need 4-Number 10 wires coming out of the breaker box to the location you would like your control box. This will be single phase. From the control box to the walker base you will need 7 wires. 4- number 10 and 3-number 12. Please have your electrician call me directly at time of wiring installation. It is best to run the conduit up through the center of the concrete base.

    Control Box Mounting:

You will need to decide where you would like to install your control box. It is best to mount the control box beside the location you would like you gates or to the barn that you will be walking out with the horses. If you are going to mount it on post, they will need to be set on 18″ centers.

    Box Measurement:

The bolt pattern is 18″ wide center to center and 25 ¼” tall center to center. It is a 7/16″ hole so I would recommend 5/16″ or 3/8″ bolts to mount with.

The actual box is 24″ tall, 20″ wide, and 13″ deep.

The mounting tabs from end to end are 26 ½” tall.

I would suggest the center of this box to be 54″ from the ground

    Concrete Pad:

We recommend a 60″ wide square that is at least 1’ deep. I will send you a pre-built anchor bolt kit that will need to be placed in the center of the concrete. The bolts will need to be sticking out of the concrete at least 1’ 1/2, this will allow plenty of threads to secure the walker down.

    Dirt Work:

The next step will be prepping your ground around the walker. Please add at least 2 feet outside of the stated size of the walker. Example, 6-50 horse will have a 52 foot foot print, it will need 56 foot pad. Please note that the round pens will sit directly onto the ground. The walker however will be level with the world when it is installed. So if there is any drop to the ground you will be able to see it. If you are going to use a footing in the walking path you can add some dirt after the walker is installed in the track. However any base layer desired will need to be installed at this point.

    Equipment:

You will need to provide a piece of equipment that has a front in loader with forks. It needs to be big enough to handle 2000 LBS. This is very important for the safety of your walker and the people installing the walker.

    Priefert Horse Walkers

    Priefert Lead Walker

With the snap of a lead rope and the push of a button, your horses are ready to warm up, take the edge off before riding, get daily exercise and conditioning, or cool down.
From the lead walker’s innovative safety features to the virtually no-maintenance and reliable planetary gear box, no other lead walker on the market can compete with the Priefert quality!
“Smart Lead” technology helps the walker respond to horses that pull back by temporarily pausing forward motion decreasing stress on the horse as well as the machine. The walker resumes the original set speed after the brief pause. If resistance stops forward motion for more than 60 seconds the emergency shut off kicks in.
