Rincon de la Subbetica is obtained in the first days of harvest from Hojiblanca olives. It is an organic extra-virgin olive oil that results from the exquisite care of the olive fruit by experts who nurture it throughout the year. It is a culinary masterpiece for the discerning palate and a gastronomic sojourn to the very essence of organic extra-virgin olive oil.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: 

AROMA: Very intense green fruitiness. Many nuances show off its great complexity. Citrus and fruit highlights. Herbal hints of thyme and mint. Hints of vegetables such as the tomato plant. Awesome.

TASTE: Fresh taste in the mouth, nutty green, bitter and spicy medium intensity. Perfectly structured, long, persistent and considered a balanced, complex and harmonious oil.

PAIRINGS: For raw consumption it is ideal on toasted bread and gourmet dishes, in mixed and tomato salads, on meats, poultry, oily fish and in countless, special dishes.  Pairs well with Traditional Balsamic Vinegar or Fig Balsamic Vinegar.

Almazaras de la Subbetica is situated in the Sierras Subbeticas Nature Reserve, an area protected by the Junta de Andalucía (regional government). The terrain, characterized by steep slopes and sheer heights is comprised of beautiful and narrow valleys.

Their farmers have managed to overcome the many obstacles presented by the rugged terrain of the plantations and the associated increased cost of tilling and harvesting. With the modernization of farming techniques, and the use of small, modern machinery while maintaining commitment to the highest quality, they have managed to blend the best of tradition and latest technologies to deliver the premium quality demanded by our most exacting consumers.
