Auxiliary hydraulic oil cooler for skid steer

Mulch coolauxiliary cooler for Skid Steer

The FAE Hydraulic Oil Cooler and heavy duty protective housing where designed to be used when more hydraulic cooling is needed for mobile equipment. With proper fitting, the cooler can be adapted to a variety of applications.

Better performance thanks to:
– Reversible fan to avoid material build up or clogging
– Fan speed at start up is gradual to reduce stress on the fan and maintain consistent cooling temperature
– The electric controller starts the fans at 140 f and turns off when oil temperature reaches 120 f.

We work directly with manufacturers to supply high-quality, mobile hydraulic oil coolers for industrial equipment across several industries. Auxiliary coolers are a great solution for mulchers, wood splitters, and other hydraulically driven attachments for skid steers, excavators, tractors, and more. If your equipment is in need of additional cooling - American Cooling Solutions has you covered.

About Our Mobile Hydraulic Units For Sale

All hydraulic oil coolers work by transferring heat from the oil to the atmosphere. As oil travels through the tubes, the heat is transferred to the fins. Air passing over the fins then transfers this heat to the sky. Heat transfer cannot occur without proper air flow.

OC SeriesOil Cooler only. OC Series coolers require outside air flow to function, typically from vehicle movement or an engine driven fan already in place for other engine cooling components.DC SeriesDC Series coolers are equipped with one or more electrically powered fans, available in 12V or 24V configurations. The fans create powered air flow in stationary or slow moving mobile applications.HC SeriesHC Series coolers are equipped with a hydraulically powered fan, for use in applications where a 12 or 24 volt electrical system is not accessible. The HC fans can be powered by the same hydraulic circuit they are cooling.

Description

FECON Hydraulic Rooftop Oil Coolers

The difference with the coolers must do with install. Either the cooler gets installed after the control valve which would be no check valve or gets installed after attachment return, requiring a check valve.  Basically, the check valve makes the cooler a 1-way flow. The unit without a check valve is 2-way flow. It must be understood though, that a cooler with no check valve must be installed after the control valve. Generally, the return of the control or main valve will go to the inlet of cooler. The outlet of cooler will go back inline either to tank or a return filter all depends on the carrier. The units with the check valve are ONLY 1 way flow.

Construction equipment isn’t engineered to be dainty, but skid steers, backhoes and front-end loaders still have their limits. High temperatures and demanding attachment loads can overheat hydraulic systems and cause costly downtime. The Loftness Cool Flow is a roof-mounted auxiliary hydraulic cooler that simultaneously cools hydraulic attachments and the machine at up to 140,000 BTUs per hour, so the work continues as long as you do.

Don’t Lose Your Cool

Two Cool Flow models are available for power units of all sizes. The compact single-fan model is ideal for mid-frame skid steers and offers up to 95,000 BTUs per hour of cooling capacity. For larger units, the twin-fan model leads the industry with 140,000 BTUs per hour. Both models have a 10-50 GM flow capacity.

FEATURES:

Up to 140,000 BTUs Per Hour Capacity

The single-fan model provides 95,000 BTUs per hour cooling capacity. The twin-fan model provides 140,000 BTUs per hour.

Fans

The single-fan Cool Flow features a 16-inch-diameter fan. The twin-fan model has two 14-inch-diameter fans. The fans are automatically controlled by a thermostat.

Roof Mounted Design

The Cool Flow includes mounting feet for permanently attaching the unit to a machine. This reduces contamination and attachment vibrations, as well as decreases the likelihood of damage from an impact. It also allows attachments to be hooked up and unhooked normally. Model-specific mounting kits and hydraulic hose kits are available for Takeuchi and Kubota.

Easy Access Screens

The bottom screen slides out for convenient debris removal, and the heavy-duty top protective screen can be easily removed.

Reversible Hydraulic Flow

The Cool Flow is engineered to allow full hydraulic flow to the attachment from either direction with no risk of damage. This flexibility is highly useful for multiple attachment styles. The design also protects the cooler if an operator accidentally reverses hoses, or if a coupler becomes detached.

Heavy-Duty Construction

High quality craftsmanship, a heavy-duty frame and premium screens combine for a product that is built to perform under the most demanding working conditions.

How do I choose a hydraulic oil cooler?

Selection Requirements before buying Hydraulic Oil Cooler.
The amount of heat that needs to be removed from the system..
The desired oil temperature..
The supplied water temperature and ambient air temperature..
The exact flow required..
The desired oil to water flow ratio..
The viscosity of the oil..

How much pressure should be in a hydraulic oil cooler?

The maximum oil pressure which the cooler can be subjected to is limited by the shell, a fairly typical figure would lie in the range 15 – 30 bar. The pressure drop associated with the oil flow through the cooler is usually small, of the order 1 bar.

How do hydraulic oil coolers work?

Most hydraulic oil cooler types work on a conductive transfer principle that sees heat in one medium conducted to another for removal and disposal. This is generally achieved by passing the oil through a series of thin pipes exposed to direct contact by the cooling medium.
