Jeep grand cherokee power door lock not working

The power door locks on my Jeep Grand Cherokee work only about 50% of the time.
When they stop working, none of the power door locks will function, using either the
remote, or the power door lock switch.

The biggest problem with this is while the passenger doors can be locked manually, the
liftgate can only be controlled using the remote or the power door lock switch.

Any ideas?

While driving 7 mph down a residential street going straight and having the right of way another driver ignored stop sign and drove into my Jeep with a force and sent the Jeep to the other side of the street. Air bags never inflated, and door lock would not lock with remote any longer and car looses light, and entire dash board, ac and heat once or twice a week. Nation wide insurance is actually refuses to pay and tell me its not crash related, just paying for obvious crash damage.

Any one had to replace any door locks\parts related to the lock? I searched but came up empty.

My front passenger door lock does not lock\unlock when I'm using either the FOB or driver side buttons (Occasionally it will work but 95% of the time the fob\door buttons do not work for it). I can manually lock and unlock it from the inside. I don't work in a great spot and do my best to lock it everyday manually but I would rather not have to make sure I remember to do this.

I have zero idea what would need to be done to fix this. I mentioned it to the dealers when I got an oil change and of course they said they could diagnose it for at least one hour fee. But I would like to see if any one on here has any ideas on what the issue could be and if its an easy fix, attempt it myself. I'm assuming there must be a small motorized part in the lock that has died. Hoping I can open it up and just replace it.

Think I would try a reset by disconnecting the power from the battery for about 30 seconds. Or look in the manual and find the fuse for the door locks and pull it for 30 seconds. Sometimes just like the tailgate it loses its memory and this resets it to normal operating sync.

/\ try that..what an easy fix if it works!

I would add, since it works manually but not with either the FOB or the drivers door button, that it may be as simple as an electrical connection loose. But opening up the door to find out would be a bit of work....
