Is Halloween Horror Nights Suitable For Kids?

Nothing about the Universal Halloween Horror Nights is geared up for kids. We’ve seen kids at past events, so it’s really down to parents to make the decision, but it’s definitely an older teen and adult event. Not only is the scare factor pretty high, but alcohol is sold throughout the park too.

Universal warn:

We strongly urge parents with children under the age of 13 to reconsider visiting this event with their children. They will be exposed to extremely adult material.

Pretty pumpkins and singing skeletons are not on the agenda at HHN.

Halloween Horror Nights 2022 Haunted Houses

If you haven’t visited Universal Halloween Horror Nights before, you’re in for a terrifying treat.  Halloween Horror Nights 2022 features ten elaborately themed haunted houses based on everything from the biggest names in horror and cinematic greats to crazed cult favorites and original abominations.

Each haunted house, often referred to as mazes, is set in its own building. You’ll make your way through a series of heavily themed corridors, rooms and walkways. Scare-actors lurk in every shadow filled nook and cranny. Their sole job is to scare the bejeezus out of you.

As well as scare-actors, there’s a high degree of jaw-dropping special effects, atmospheric sound and lighting. Plus a whole host of blood curdling creatures and over the top props to create a fully immersive experience.

Universal Monsters: Legends Collide

Universal Pictures’ Legendary Monsters The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy unite for the first time ever during Halloween Horror Nights. The trio of monsters are seeking one thing: The Amulet of Ra. The Wolf Man believes this ancient relic contains the power to finally lift his dreaded curse, while Dracula and The Mummy have nefarious plans to use it to bring humankind to its knees. With the full moon on the rise and a race against time, you will be entangled in a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying titans – and only one will survive.

Halloween Horror Nights Upgrades & Tours:

Express Pass

We can’t express (no pun intended!) how popular these events are. The Express Passes are essential on peak nights. Yes, it makes it a high-priced night out, but your experience will be hugely diminished without an Express Pass on many nights.

We made the mistake of not getting an Express Pass a few years ago and the lines were 2 to 3 hours for the popular haunted houses. We missed out on a LOT that visit. Express Passes for peak nights will sell out.

Note: Express Passes that come complimentary with select Universal hotel stays are NOT valid for Halloween Horror Nights.

Express Pass Tickets: Date depended and range from $109.99 to $189.99 per person plus tax.
