The Office of Student Affairs offers Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for CU alumni, faculty, staff, students, and unaffiliated community members. This is a 4-hour traditional classroom course where BLS is taught and demonstrated. Participants learn to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, and use an AED.      

You don't need to be a healthcare provider to participate. The BLS course provides a two-year certification through the American Heart Association.

​​​​​​Participants will receive the BLS Provider Manual at the beginning of class. The course will be held in the Education 2 North Building, #3108. The class will start promptly at 5pm so we suggest getting there early or you may not be permitted into the class.

Visitors are encouraged to park in the Ignacio or Georgetown lots. A parking map can be found in the confirmation email after registering for the course.

Dates and Types of Classes:

You are able to take one of two classes. 

1. If you don't have a valid AHA BLS provider certification card you will register below for the Initial class.

2. If you already have taken a AHA BLS Provider certification card and/or if it has expired in the last 60 days, you will register below for a Renewal classes.
