Show 4.0 out of 5 stars Driving on tea cups...waiting for it to stall out and lose power steering in traffic again. 2010 Xterra w/ 50k hard to start sometimes and dangerously stalling while driving. Code was P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A, no engine light.Item pictured on Amazon is similar to what I removed. I assume mine was A or B rev. What I received was the metal sleeved D version. Since my car doesn’t have a lot of miles on it just re-used the old sensors O-ring on the new sensor. Not really sure about it’s use as the old sensor and the bore it goes into seemed pretty clean.Installed in about an hour, mainly because I messed around with too little of a floor jack until I pulled out the Xterra scissor jack under the back seat to get it up on jack stands. The D rev has the snap feature away from the bolt rather than on the same side. The harness still snaps on fine in this orientation. It is helpful to have a swivel head attached to your 10mm socket to get at the bolt.Drove for about an hour so far. Other sensors have been read since the last clear. So hopefully this issue is resolved. Reviews with imagesTop reviews from the United StatesThere was a problem filtering reviews right now. Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 10, 2022 This part, unlike the aftermarket, fixed the problem. Sometimes OEM is the only way. Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 17, 2021 As others here have pointed out, what is pictured in the listing is not what you get. What I took out of the vehicle (2005 XTerra) looks like the picture, but the replacement I received has a metal end instead of plastic, and the electrical connection is flipped 180 degrees. The package was labeled with a Nissan label and not aftermarket. All that said, based on the other reviews here I went ahead and installed it and it seems to work so far. It would be nice if the listing could let the buyer know that they will be receiving an updated version of the part. Truck 2006 Nissan Xterra with 193K miles. Time to put new stuff in. Here is the issue, the image is for the original model 23731-EA20C. However, Nissan upgraded this to 23731-EA20D which has a metal front sensor not the plastic. Additional the D model is 180 reverse on the plug in, this means you have to
turn the plug 180 to plug it in which in itself not a big issue but the rubber boot on the truck doesn't or wouldn't flip, this left the screw exposed to the elements, not a good idea but you have to do it. Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 5, 2021 Installed this crankshaft position sensor on my 2010 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab and presto - problem solved. This is actually the newer, updated “D” version of the sensor, with a metallic sensor head. The connector installs 180 degrees from the old sensor position but you can just move the rubber cover boot around with on the wiring and it will still install over the retaining screw, as before. Great value for a new, genuine Nissan sensor! BTW, I believe my fault code was 0335 - symptoms were the engine would intermittently miss or just completely die (but would restart). Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 5, 2020 When my 2011 Pro-4X Xterra started throwing a P0335 code and stalling randomly I did some research and found that the Crankshaft Position Sensor was likely bad. Rather than order one from the dealership or take a chance on an aftermarket part I came to Amazon and found these.
