The FSM isn't much help. The sensor is apparently low on the front of the engine block, because you have to remove the engine under cover (shield thingie) to get to it. Here (attached) is the 2003 5VZ crankshaft position sensor replacement section from the FSM. The cryptic illustration is the only graphic the FSM provides for the sensor's

Man that is a pretty "cryptic illustration" hoping I don't have to pull the crank pulley to remove the lower cover, but I think I
