 The school year has started. Were you ready to send your kids back? I’m sure parents are all screaming “YES!!!!” But educators? Not so much. Well, I was ready to send my kids back to school, but I was not so ready to return to work. I like my summers. Strike that. I love my summers! So back to school and work and I thought it would be fun to start the school year off with something fun. And who wouldn’t think getting mugged was fun??? Well, that didn’t sound right. Let’s try that again. Who wouldn’t think getting a fun treat wouldn’t be fun? I found the idea on this site but I changed up the poem to fit my school. You can print out the “You’ve Been Mugged” sign here. And the “I’ve Been Mugged” tags here. I wanted to give some of the teachers an out (party poopers). So I also printed out “No Thanks” tags. You can find them here. It’s real easy. Print out all the signs on heavy cardstock. Cut out the small tags and place them in envelopes. Take the big “You’ve Been Mugged” sign on the outside of a large envelope. Buy a mug and fill it with goodies and then put the envelope in your co-workers mailbox (or on their desk) and the goodie filled mug. Happy mugging! Most of these items can be bought at the dollar store, which makes them really affordable for stuffing a mug with gifts. The best place to find inexpensive mugs is the Dollar Tree or Dollar General. Sometimes you can find some nice ones in thrift stores, too. If someone gifts you a mug that you don’t like or need, feel free to fill it up with goodies and pass it on to someone else.
