  • Scrape & Cut: Change the blade angle to scrape along tough surfaces such as concrete and stone where unwanted weeds grow.
  • Edge & Chop: Give your lawn a professional-looking edge! The sharp edge of the blade cuts around your pathways and vegetable and flower beds.

Top positive review

4.0 out of 5 starsDEFINITELY A JACK OF ALL TRADES, MASTER OF NONE TOOL but still really good

Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2022

I put it to the test last week after remembering I had bought it; APPARENTLY over TWO YEARS AGO, lol. ANYWAYS, got tired of my IVY bed, had mowed it into oblivion a long time ago, and was left with a giant hill where it sat. SO, I used this tool as an edger since for whatever reason, the electric edger I bought is kind of awful. Okay, we're going to do this review in a different manner from most:

Pros:
-Build is great, and when you adjust it then lock it back into position you 1) don't have to pull the bolt all the way out. AND 2) When locking it into a new position since the "teeth" are so pronounced it actually locks nice and easy (AND SECURELY). Adjusts nice and easy as well.

Cons:
-Too short for real work, it's a great, small area or touch up tool but if you have a big project, it's kind of a pain.

Tools/Position Reviews:
-EDGER: Okay, the blade on this thing is fine, and will be easy to sharpen since the steel is nice and thick. BUT unless you're crazy strong, you'll be tempted to step on the back of it to put weight into it to cut through more stubborn roots. EXCEPT, there's really no place to step, you could tempt fate and step on the rake prongs but ouch. So... EDGER gets 3.5 out of 5 thanks to the blade being sharp enough to do most of the work.
-Rake: Too small to be practical, but if you're going around flowers and whatnot in a tightly packed flower bed, then yeah it's fine. RAKE = 3 out of 5
-HOE: Okay, again the lightness of the tool makes it hard to use as a good hoe, Also due to the rounded nature of it means you'll never get a square channel from it, and if you're working next to your house's base, could get annoying, you either have to over-dig or be okay with a semi-circular job. LUCKILY what I was using it for was moving dirt out of a garbage can (I don't have the proper tools, this year was the first year I decided to seriously address the lawn on my property, where it's small size was quite the boon and allowed me to fill in the holes nicely. HOE = 3 out of 5
-"STOMPER"- Since the major use for this tool for me was filling in large holes that have been on my property for who knows how long, it was a foreclosure, abandoned for 3 years and I neglected it for 3 summers until the 4th summer. Also what a great time to get proactive during a heatwave and I live in Mississippi. LOL. So, after using the hoe to transfer the dirt to the holes, I would use it to compress the dirt and it worked great, before I was relying on my shovel to do this but that was kind of hurting my back and this was a savior for that. SO "STOMPER/COMPRESSOR" = 4 out of 5.

Conclusion:
I don't regret buying this and the $75 price tag isn't too gross, it doesn't do any ONE thing well, and the only MOD for a Version 2 I would make is pegs on the bottom so you can put your feet on them to give it more digging power. It's very well built, the steel looks like you can sharpen it nicely to extend the life of the tool and has been invaluable with aiding me in my yard work this year. I would recommend it.
