There you go. Now you’ve learned how to reset your Apple Watch within minutes.

Once your Apple Watch is erased, you’ll need to go through the initial Apple Watch set-up and pairing process with your iPhone again from the Watch app. This is because all the content and settings stored on your Apple Watch has been permanently erased, including the passcode you forgot. You’ll be able to set a new passcode during the set-up process.

There’s one other way that you can use to reset your Apple Watch and this doesn’t require your iPhone. That’s right, you can perform this directly on your Apple Watch. Simply press and hold the side button on your Apple Watch to bring up the shutdown screen. Here, force press on the Power Off slider and you’ll get the option to erase all content and settings. Once the Apple Watch is erased, you’d have to set it up from a backup again.

Resetting a passcode on Apple Watch is a bit different from the process of resetting other forgotten passwords on other Apple devices, but the end result is the same in that you’ll regain access to your device when you go through the whole process.
