Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, USA. It opened on June 13, 2019 and replaced Dragon Challenge, which closed on September 4, 2017. Hagrid is the host of this ride. At a
cost of $300 million, it was the world's most expensive roller coaster to build, three times more than the previous record holder, Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which cost $100
million.[1] HistoryThe ride began construction shortly after Dragon Challenge was removed in January 2018. On February 21, 2019, Universal confirmed that the ride would be named Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and that it would open on June 13, 2019.[2] When the ride opened, the lines to get on the attraction took upwards of 10 hours, stretching all the way to Port of Entry.[3] On October 2, 2019, the attraction was shut down after a swarm of bees surrounded the area.[4] On August 11, 2020, the ride was closed following a small fire in a backstage area.[5] The coaster reopened shortly after. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is an LSM launch coaster from Intamin. It features 7 launches (a world record), a spike that sends riders backwards, four tunnels and a 17 foot vertical drop track, although riders only experience after going backwards into the building. Hagrid is heard on the speakers of the trains, along with on-board audio. Ride experienceWhen the train exits the building, riders will hear Hagrid on the speakers saying "Uh, don't mind the thestrals. Clever and useful they are." After a right turn, the train launches from 0 to 20 mph in 1.2 seconds. The riders approach an S-curve. Hagrid will then say "Off you go, we'll meet you at the exit of the Forbidden Forest!" The train makes a right turn and launches from 22 mph to 30 mph in 1.5 seconds. The riders pass through a tunnel and an airtime hill. Hagrid then says "We'll let you for service in the grand finale. Don't know what they're doing." The train hits the brakes and goes into Hagrid's Hut. Inside, Hagrid is seen, along with a Blast-Ended Skrewt. Several things are found in the hut including barrels, bricks, a teddy bear, a ladder and crates. Hagrid then says "Oh, there! There's no need for that! Just enough for today! You should keep your head back! We'll pick this up later!" After exiting Hagrid's Hut, the train makes a right turn and launches from 0 to 32 mph in 3.5 seconds up a hill. At the top, riders dive down into a tunnel and go through several curves. Following this, the train then launches from 27 mph to 35 mph in 2.3 seconds. Hagrid will then say "Ganon, dorables!" The train makes a double right turn, followed by a small airtime hill. Then, Hagrid will say "Are there more than one bad brains? I didn't think they take all you did in The Forbidden Forest. Just hang on!" Riders make a right turn and hit the block brake. Fluffy can be found to the left of the block brake eating a bone. Hagrid will say "Oh, and don't mind Fluffy. His barks are worse than his brains." Riders will then hear Fluffy’s barks and the train approaches the switch track by making a left turn, and then launches from 21 mph to 41 mph in 2.5 seconds. The riders will see the car with Cornish Pixies and the Cornish Pixie squeak sound can be heard. Hagrid on speakers then says "Now, don't panic by your just own!" The train enters a foggy tunnel, then climbs a 70° vertical rollback. Hagrid will say "Oh, no! Looks like we lost power!" Riders fall backwards and Hagrid will say "I got you, don't worry! You're powerful!" The train launches from 37 mph to 44 mph in 1.7 seconds, then passes through a tunnel and a helix. Hagrid on speakers will say "Sorry, never was great shakes at magic." Riders hit the brakes and head into a building filled with a nighttime scenery and centaurs. The train enters a room by taking a separate track. Hagrid will say "Ooh, creepy! You’re tangled in Devil's Snare! Repeat after me; lumos solect!" After strobing effects show tentacles, a vertical drop track plunges the train 17 feet. Hagrid will then say "Phew! That was close! Now, we just need to? Oh, you found my missing skrewts. Let me get out of here before you get busted!" Fog effects will appear and the train launches out of the building from 0 to 50 mph in 4 seconds. Hagrid will then say "Now, get those purple buttons! Hold on! Dragon fliers everywhere!" Is Hagrid's motorbike adventure worth it?The ride itself is just the right amount of thrill without throwing you around and making you sick. I love the ride vehicles because you are able to have two different experiences when riding this attraction. I cannot recommend this ride enough it's hands down the best ride in all of universal.
How do you get on Hagrid's motorcycle in adventure 2022?How to ride Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure?. Use your early park admission.. Grab a spot on the Hagrid's virtual que line when available.. Wait on the standby line when available.. Use the Hagrid's single rider line when available.. How scary is the new Hagrid ride?On a thrill scale of 0 to 10 (with 0 being wimpy and 10 being yikes!), we think the Hagrid coaster rates a 6.5, possibly a 7 because of the vertical drop. It is somewhat extreme, but not as extreme as many other coasters.
