They reached an agreement with PHL airport during the DNC to allow them to do the pick up / drop off. I used to see them come in to the airport all the time before the agreement. They would just remove their uber/lyft tag before entering airport property... when people just hop in the back of a car without friendly "I miss you greetings" you can guess it's an uber/lyft. Anyways - Yes! You can also go via train. You can take the train from the airport to 30th street station and then take the Paoli/Thorndale line to the Bryn Mawr station.

Level 3. Re: Uber/Lyft from Airport 5 years ago Just curious if you are staying with someone at Bryn Mawr College. I know it is common for colleges to have overnight visits for potential students. There are hotels in the area but not within walking distance. If you are not staying on campus, you probably want to rent a car. You probably don't want to take the train based on your arrival time.
Level 4. Re: Uber/Lyft from Airport 5 years ago We are staying at the Alumni House on campus.... and yes, we just want to get to campus quickly. I looked at Taxifarefinder and its estimate is $66. Just wondering how does Uber/Lyft work at PHL - do you come out to the curb and request? Or while you are still waiting for your luggage to come off the carousel? How long is the typical wait? Are there cars generally there waiting for customers?

You meet your driver outside of baggage claim where it says Private Vehicles. At 3:00 pm today, there was a 2 minute wait. But, you can check the app later to see the wait around 11:00 pm. The estimated cost is around $40.

7. Re: Uber/Lyft from Airport 5 years ago What response #1 is referring to was a temporary agreement last year regarding Uber/Lyft. Uber & Lyft are now fully permitted to operate at the airport and throughout the area, and they can show their decals if they choose to. There is a line, similiar to a taxi line, of Uber/Lyft drivers about 2 minutes away. Go to luggage pickup and call for your ride there. They will pick you up thru the same doors as you would exit to the buses and general pickup area...Not the side signed for taxis!
