"This world is hell, even if I'm alive." Despite living her best life as a successful painter and essayist, as well as a happy wife to an honorable president of a hospital and school, she still feels inadequate and dissatisfied. She then sits on a dark boat on the water with a bitter smile on her face. Interestingly, because of fate, Goo Hae Won passes by while saying, "My hell is... you.", raising expectations. In the next scene, Goo Hae Won, who is apparently an art teacher, stands in the middle of a classroom, with the image of a girl being beaten in the head without mercy. The image of Jeong Hee Joo trembling endlessly shakes the hearts of the viewers. She then asks Goo Hae Won, "What is the purpose of coming here if you will just hurt my daughter?". As the show approaches its endgame, he becomes an out-and-out villain and during one fateful evening, he meets his demise.
Is your reflection a romance?The tone is one of anguished romance and the three main leads are all tormented artists to varying degrees, but nothing feels right in this plodding melodrama that has grown more leaden and meandering with each episode.
Whats the story of reflection of you?Based on a novel by writer Jung So-hyeon, the series tells the story of a woman who leaves the conditioned lifestyle of 'wife and mother' for a brief period and becomes faithful to her desires, and another woman who comes in contact with her in that short span and loses the light of her life.
Is reflection of you a happy ending?In conclusion, yes, "Reflection of You" has a happy ending but in no traditional sense of the term. Families are torn apart - from Goo Hae-won's to Jeong Hee-joo's but our protagonists (if we may call them so), never put an end to their stories. They live and learn but never give up.
