Rudolph the red nosed reindeer lyrics in spanish

Now that we are getting closer to Christmas Day, the mood is turning more and more festive. If you are visiting a Spanish-speaking country during the Holidays you will hear in Spanish some of the traditional Christmas carols that you learned as a kid. These villancicos, the word for Christmas songs in Spanish, have the exact same melody but the lyrics aren’t a literal translation of the English version. If you are fluent in both English and Spanish you will notice that most of these songs tell almost the same story but using other words in their Spanish versions.

There are even different Spanish versions of the same song depending on the singer. For example, Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, sung by Mexican singer Luis Miguel is a Christmas love song called Frente a la chimenea and has nothing to with reindeer or Santa Claus.

Here is a list of six all-time favorite Christmas songs with their Spanish versions that you can download for your next party. For each one, I have included the link that will take you to listen to a short demo. More important are the English and Spanish lyrics to compare and follow. As I mentioned before, be aware that the Spanish versions available may be slightly different depending on the artist who sings them.

1. Jingle Bells – Click here to get this song

Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh

A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh yeah

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh

2. Little Drummer Boy – Click here to get this song

Come they told me,
pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see,
pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring,
pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
So to honor Him,
pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.

Little Baby,
pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too,
pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring,
pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give the King,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?

Mary nodded,
pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time,
pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him,
pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Then He smiled at me,
pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.

Little Drummer Boy in Spanish: El Tamborilero – Click here to get this song

Los pastorcillos quieren ver a su Rey;
le traen regalos en su humilde zurrón.
Ropo pom pom ropo pom pom pom

Yo quisiera poner a tus pies,
Ropo pom pom ropo pom pom pom

Ropo pom pom ropo pom pom pom

3. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer – Click here to get this song

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names;
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
You’ll go down in history.

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.,
But do you recall?
The most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names;
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
You’ll go down in history.

Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer in Spanish: Rudolfo el reno de la nariz roja – Click here to get this song

4. White Christmas – Click here to get this song

The sun is shining, the grass is green,
the orange and palm trees sway.
There’s never been such a day
in Beverly Hills, L.A.

But it’s December the twenty-fourth,
and I am longing to be up north.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
just like the ones I used to know.
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
to hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
with every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright,
and may all your Christmases be white.

May your days be merry and bright,
and may all your Christmases,
all your Christmases,
all your Christmases be white.

Version 1

Oh, blanca Navidad, nieve.
Un blanco sueño y un cantar.
Recordar tu infancia podrás
al llegar la blanca Navidad.

Version 2
Oh, blanca Navidad, sueño
que todo es blanco alrededor.
Blanca Noche Buena, mi mensajera
de paz y de buen amor.

Oh, blanca Navidad, nieva
un blanco sueño y un cantar.
La nostalgia vuelve al hogar,
al llegar la blanca Navidad.

5. Silent Night – Click here to get this song

Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother, and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia,
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born.

Silent night, holy night!
Son of God love’s pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus Lord, at Thy birth.
Jesus Lord, at Thy birth

Silent Night in Spanish: Noche de Paz – Click here to get this song

Noche de paz, noche de amor.
Todo duerme en derredor.
Entre los astros que esparcen su luz,
van anuniando al niño Jesús.

Brilla la estrella de paz,
brilla la estrella de paz.

Noche de paz, noche de amor.
Oye humilde el fiel pastor.
Coros celestes que anuncian salud,
gracias y glorias en gran plenitud
por nuetro buen Redentor,
por nuestro buen Redentor.

Noche de paz, noche de amor
Ved que bello resplandor
luce en el rostro del niño Jesús.
En el pesebre del mundo la luz.
Astro de eterno fulgor,
astro de eterno fulgor.

The last song is the hardest and most challenging of all. It is The Twelve Days of Christmas and to sing this one requires some skill and concentration. It looks like there aren’t many people who dare to write something this difficult. The best Spanish version I could find was from the album Feliz Navidad All Your Favorite Christmas Songs in Spanish; even though it was converted extremely well, this one uses completely different words to fit in the melody. For example, there are no “three French hens” or “five golden rings” as gifts from true love. That is why, in this particular case, I prefer to share with you the literal translation by Gerald Erichsen.

Christmas songs bilingual book

If you form part of a multi-cultural family with Hispanic influence, this might be a fun activity to do with your kids that are learning English and Spanish simultaneously. For that, I recommend you check out the book Merry Navidad that includes villancicos from Latin America with English translations.

Do you know more villancicos that may be sung in English and Spanish? Are any of these songs originally from a different language and then translated into English?

Check out these other English Spanish articles.

What songs were written for Rudolph the Red

"Most Wonderful Day of the Year" – 2:22. "A Holly Jolly Christmas" – 1:32. Christmas Medley: "The Night Before Christmas Song" / "A Merry Merry Christmas" / "When Santa Claus Gets Your Letter" / "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" – 3:17. "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" – 1:41.

What Colour is Rudolph nose in French?

“Le p'tit renne au nez rouge” – Jacques Larue's translation of Johnny Marks' “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” – reveals the real reason Rudolph's nose was so red. Contrary to the 1964 Rankin-Bass TV special, its glow was not caused by an incandescent bulb.

What is the original Rudolph the Red

Gene Autry's recording hit No. 1 on the U.S. charts the week of Christmas 1949. ... Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (song).
