What does the KKMC LCEC commit to do?With God’s help, the KKMC LCEC will:
Please pray for our church leaders regularly
What are some prayers of the faithful? We pray for peace in the midst of violence and tragedy in this world. May we have the patience to be understanding, the strength to be forgiving and the grace to admit when we are wrong. We pray to the Lord. Loving God, you sent you sent your only Son to show us how to live a life of love and compassion.
What is a good prayer to say everyday?Lord, I give you all that I am this day. Please brush away my weariness, so that I may be inspired in my work. Help me to discover new ways to reveal your love to all I meet. Keep my mind clear and focused on all I need to achieve, and give me the wisdom to overcome difficulties and find solutions.
How do you end a Prayer of the Faithful? They usually take the form of a series of short prayers (two or three succinct sentences) which close with members of the congregation saying a short affirming phrase such as "Lord hear our prayer" or "Lord hear us" after each request.
Why do we say prayers of the faithful? The Prayer of the Faithful represents the antechamber of the Eucharistic part of the liturgy and it helps us enter a prayerful and intercessory frame of mind. It's our last response to the Word of God that's just been heard. We've responded in faith through the Creed, now we respond in prayer for others.
