Great product, well worth the money. When you are doing home repair as much as I do and I consider home repairing my expertise. These glass drills come in handy. They cut through my glass table that I was repairing and I am already finding more uses for these.

More for ceramics, not really glass. Get hole saws instead.

GREAT FOR DRILLING IN TILE

Can you use glass drill bit on ceramic?

Standard drill bits don't work on tile, but not to worry. Ceramic tile can be drilled with a carbide bit, while glass and porcelain call for a diamond-tipped bit.

Can I use carbide bit on porcelain tile?

Carbide-tipped masonry drill bits, on the other hand, are probably the most common type of drill bits for drilling through tile. However, although this type of drill bits will do the job on glazed tile and stoneware, they are not recommended for dealing with porcelain stoneware.

Will a carbide bit cut tile?

A carbide-tipped masonry bit is the best tile drill bit to use for drilling glazed ceramic tiles. Carbide is a known strong material that cuts through most hard elements that regular drills cannot get through.

What kind of drill bit goes through ceramic tile?

As mentioned earlier, drilling through tile requires a specialist drill bit – regular or even masonry bits simply won't do the job as they're not strong enough to penetrate tiles' hard surfaces. Instead, you should opt for either carbide-tipped or diamond-tipped drill bits.
