Has anyone found any 3rd party running boards that work nicely with the GCL?

If not, can someone confirm P/N 82216145ad is the right factory choice?

Not yet…was going to pull the trigger today on them but then saw the fine print of won’t work with mud flaps. This thing needs mud flaps worse so likely waiting until alternatives come out for either

That’s weird, I have a SR on order and could have sworn it would have let me add the finish package (mud flaps) without removing the side steps. Maybe I was wrong. 🤔

You can’t use front mudflaps with the running boards, you technically can use the rear ones only but that would look weird.

Those look good I may have to get some.

Did yours come with them, or did you add them on later?

If added on later, did you do it or have a dealership do it?

Yep. Same.

I added them after the fact and had the dealer install them.

Can you show the “fine print?” I’ve heard other folks say this too, but then there’s this:

weird…that appears to be the only site with that disclaimer and none of the actual Mopar dealer sites say that. I also checked the install manual and it doesn’t include that disclaimer. Checked the build tool as well and it still shows front and rear with floorboards. again, wish I knew why that site is saying this b/c I’d hate to be wrong.

I say if we can option it with both from the factory it should work. I set up product pages all the time for work and things are often wrongly done by 3rd party websites....

My daughter stepped on the 'no step' zone of the rear door yesterday. I am going to have to get these...if they don't work with the mud flaps than so be it....I think they are more important. Besides WeatherTech will likely come out with their own soon mud flaps too.

so the more I looked into it, I believe the wording is just a carry over the seller is using from previous models. The WK2 would not support mud flaps due to the side step design which was not “integrated” to replace the lower body sill like the WL.

From what I've read you should be able to use MOPAR mudflaps with the MOPAR side steps. That said, I've ordered some of the universal fit Rally Armor black urethane mudflaps b/c I don't like how 'pronounced' the side wrap of the MOPAR flaps is on my light silver Overland with its 'full paint' (not clean). The Rally Armor flaps can be trimmed and fit any way desired, and won't interfere with the side steps or the 'lines' of the vehicle the way the OEM ones do. (The OEM ones look fine on darker colors and lower models with black plastic trim, though).

Did they give you your old parts?
The instructions say you have to remove the old sill cladding and then install these instead?

Been trying to find more details on these running boards and how robust they’re made…? I want a set that are strong enough to off-road and beat the hell out of. Past Mopar parts were listed as rock sliders with step option. I get the feeling these are not the same and intended as a step and not a rock rail. Any details, input or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

They do look nice!

Thanks in advance!

TAC Value Running Boards are developed for SUV in North America, can fit for most mid-size SUV and compact SUV, such as Toyota Highlander, RAV4, Jeep Grand Cherokee and so on.

What does L stand for in 2022 Grand Cherokee?

I was more than excited when Jeep introduced (finally!) the first Grand Cherokee with a third row: The Jeep Grand Cherokee L. L stands for Long… as in a longer wheelbase and body to accommodate that third row, and it's also larger and more comfortable for all passengers, especially those in the third row.

Is the 2022 Grand Cherokee body on frame?

At its introduction, while most SUVs were still manufactured with body-on-frame construction, the Grand Cherokee has used a unibody chassis from the start. ... Fifth generation (WL; 2021).

Are they making a 2022 Grand Cherokee L?

Price: The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L starts at $38,890. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is a 3-row midsize SUV. And we're more inclined to say SUV than mere crossover, since this is a Jeep. Which means it offers 4-wheel-drive systems that are more adept than most at tackling tricky surfaces.
