How to connect canon mg3022 printer to wifi without cd

Follow the instructions below to connect up to 5 devices and print wirelessly from your mobile device.

Before you begin

To check the printer's MAC address, serial number, and current wireless network settings, print out the network setting information.

Change the printer's wireless network settings to enable wireless connection

1. Turn on the printer.

2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi® button and release when the Wi-Fi lamp flashes.

3. Press the black button. The on lamp flashes and the Wi-Fi lamp lights up.

4. Press the Wi-Fi button repeatedly until the direct lamp lights. Wireless direct is enabled as indicated by the lamp lights below.

   
   
    The image on the left shows that both the wireless LAN function and the wireless direct function are enabled. This means that the printer can be connected to a wireless router in addition to directly communicating to a computer or mobile device wirelessly.
   
    The image on the right shows that the wireless direct function is enabled. This means that the printer can directly communicate to a computer or mobile device wirelessly, but it cannot be connected to a wireless router.

5. Press the color button or the black button to finalize the setup.

Change the device's settings and connect to the printer

1. Turn on wireless communication on your device.

2. Enable Wi-Fi on your device's settings menu.

   
    For more information on how to turn on wireless communication, see your device's instruction manual.

3. Select XXXXXX-MG3000 series from the list displayed on device. XXXXXX represents the last six digits of the printer's MAC address.

   
    If XXXXXX-MG3000 series does not appear on the list, wireless direct is not enabled.

4. Enter the password.

• The device may require a password to connect the printer via wireless LAN. Enter the specified password for the printer.

1. Your device should connect to the printer.

Print with wireless direct

• Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app to print from your smartphone or tablet. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

There are two parts to the setup process:

1. Start the setup process on your printer.
2. Download and install the setup software on your computer.

1. Press and hold the Wireless button (A) on your printer panel until the Wireless lamp (B) flashes.

2. Press the Color button (C).

3. Press the Wireless button (A) repeatedly until the Network lamp (D) lights up.

4. Press the Color button (C).

   

2. Download and install the setup software on your computer

Follow the instructions below to set up the printer:

1. Get the setup file.

2. Read the information, then select the Download button to start the setup (or insert the Setup CD in the computer's CD drive).

3. Select Start Setup.

   

1. Choose the appropriate region, then select Next.

   

2. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

   

3. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

   

4. Select Next on the Firewall Settings screen.

   

5. Select Yes on the Connection Method screen.
   

   
    The Model # is used as an example. Your actual model series number will appear in the setup program.
   

6. Setup continues. If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and select Next.
   

   
    Your router and network settings determine whether or not this screen appears.
   

7. Setup continues. Wait for it to finish.

   

8. Network Connection completes. Select Next.

   

9. Setup completes. Select Next. You are almost finished.

   

1. Select any optional application software you want to add (click the checkbox to add, or click it again to remove an item), then select Next.

   

2. Select Next on the You Can Print... screen.

   

3. Click Next or Skip on the User Registration screen.

   

4. Select Exit. Installation is complete. You are ready to print wirelessly.
