My Hero Academia: Vigilante is a spin-off series of the original manga My Hero Academia written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. A prequel to the original, this spin-off manga is also a superhero story that has been written and illustrated by different people. Hideyuki Furuhashi wrote My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and Betten Court did the illustrations. It first started being serialized in 2016 in Shueisha but later got transferred to Weekly Shonen Jump+. As recently as January 2021, the manga My Hero Academia: Vigilanteshas had a total of eleven tankobon volumes. While this manga is pretty awesome in its art and character design, it’s still ignored and enjoys underrated status.  The tone of the prequel is markedly different from that of the original, due to its dark and serious overtones. Both the series have enjoyed remarkably high popularity among fans. That’s exactly why it’s going to hurt seeing the two mangas reaching their finale. Recently, Shonen Jump+made the announcement that My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is coming to an end soon. It announced that there are only a few volumes left before it ends. This announcement had important implications for the trajectory of the plot of this manga. It essentially means that the finale story arc of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will commence soon. The overwhelming popularity of this spin-off means that its ending won’t be received well. However, fans can look forward to its anime adaptation as there’s a high likelihood of its release soon. I love Netflix documentaries and listening to true crime podcasts.
