How many miles do dodge dakotas last

The high mileage almost made me pass on the great deal I got on the Dakota I just bought, but my regular mechanic, my MOPAR loving friend & even a friend of mine who is a Ford truck mechanic told me not to worry about high mileage on a Dodge, so I went ahead & sealed the deal...

I've got a 2004 Dakota Sport 4x4 with 4.7L V8 that has a little over 228800 miles. Everything seems to have been maintained on schedule. She's clean as a whistle & she purrs like a kitten!

So how many miles have been clocked on your trucks out there?

My 1999 RC R/T is right at 188,600 and still going strong.

My '99 just hit 146,000 this morning & still runs like new..

my 97 has 182.000. still purrs!

My 1994 SLT Dakota long bed bought new now has 245,000 miles. I just renovated it in December of 2011.

My 1987 has just hit 86,000. I once saw a Dakota on the internet with 600,000 miles on it.

My 02 has 150,000 and looks new.

I have no idea how many miles mine has... 5 years ago the guy who i bought it from bought it with 163800 on it... he replaced the gauge cluster and now it says 155xxx -.- He didnt drive it much.. but my guess would be anywhere from 170xxx-200xxx

I'm having a few problems.. should get fixed today though, replacing shift solenoids and my governor pressure sensor and transducer. Also doing a tune up.. plugs and wires!

My wifes 2003 Slt bought new has hit 80,000 today. Other than maintenance no problems at all.

2001 4x4-183,000 still a daily driver

2002 bought in 2001.....26,000 miles

My orignal 95 has 230,000 on the body but 17000 on the 360/5 spd
My orignal 239 (3.9) V-6 and 5 spd is now in my 4th truck, a 94 dak and still running all orginal (except water pump and tune up stuff) at alnost 300,000. Cant beat em. These little 6's are reliable as you can get. Love these trucks

My 95 had 156,000 on it when I gave it to my Son-In Law. It's still going. My 2011 has 26,000 on it.

well hello every one first off ive been watching the forum for a while but thought it would be bad luck to set up a profile before i bought my first dakota as it was still in the works....i got it home around two weeks ago and put a battery in it and the cluster reads a lil under 159000 miles, but heres the funny part....the engine threw a rod through the oil pan, wich is why i bought it so cheap.....all in all so far it has 158,851 miles but when im done it will have 0 miles on the engine and ill only have around 1,000 dollars in a truck worth much more....oh and i got it for $400....lol...sorry about all the extra info..lol...the P.O. used a cheap oil in it and gummed everything up, burnt oil an inch thick on everything.....

I sold my '93 Dakota in May of 2011. It had 287,00 on it. Still in use today. Only thing done to engine was maintenance.

Drove the 97 to 196k, new owner has it at 240k now
Drove the 02 until 168k
Just took the 06 to 83k

Damn good trucks!

My 2004 slt has 116000 and runs great!

My '99 just hit 165,000 & runs like a dream.

Just bought my 2006 SLT Quad cab 4x4. Has 88,000.
