"Pause" Agreement

As an accommodation during the COVID-19 pandemic, a Member in good standing may place their account on hold until the later of March 1, 2021 or the date that The Great Escape re-opens to the public in 2021.

By placing your account on hold you agree that:

  1. We will not charge your payment method and charges will NOT restart until the later of March 1, 2021 or the date that the park re-opens in 2021 (unless you decide to reactivate your account prior to such time as described below). You will not be charged for Memberships, Member Dining Passes, or Member THE FLASH Pass during the time your account is on hold.

  2. You may reactivate (unpause) your Membership at any time. However, if you reactivate your Membership your monthly payments will resume and you will not be able to deactivate it again for a period of three months.

  3. We will automatically resume charging you your regular Membership payments on the later of March 1, 2021, or the date that The Great Escape reopens in 2021. Your regular billing date will change to whichever day we start charging your card again (so if the park opens on April 22, your new billing date will be the 22nd day of each month).

  4. You agree that the period during which your account is “paused” won’t count towards your initial 12 month commitment. If you put your account on hold during your Minimum Term of 12 months, you agree that this “pause” tolls the Minimum Term, and as soon as the “pause” is released you will continue to pay the monthly payments for at least the remaining months under the Minimum Term. For example, if you pause your account in month 10 and the park doesn’t re-open for 4 months, you are still required to make payments for month 11 and month 12 before you can cancel your Membership.

  5. Upon the resumption of your Membership, you will be entitled to receive any benefits that accrued prior to pausing, including any "bonus" (pre-paid) months you had previously accrued. If you had earned a "free upgrade for the rest of the year", then on the date you reactivate your membership you will receive a number of months of "free upgrade" equal to the number of months that remained in the year at the time you paused your membership. These bonus benefits may include (but are not limited to) free upgrades, extensions, special discounts or other identified bonus benefits.

Six Flags members can now pause their membership for the time being. The pause will remain in effect until your home park reopens for business. Please note that pausing a membership will not count towards the initial 12-month commitment agreed upon. There are, however, extra benefits for keeping your membership active.

Increased Membership Benefits

If you choose to keep your membership active while parks are closed, you are eligible for the following upgraded benefits. Please note that individuals who pause their memberships will NOT be eligible for these upgrades.

  • All levels of membership will receive a free month for every month the park is closed onto the end of their membership.

  • Gold Plus members will be upgraded to Platinum status for the remainder of 2020.

  • Platinum members will be upgraded to Diamond status for the remainder of 2020.

  • Diamond members will be upgraded to Diamond Elite status for the remainder of 2020.

  • Diamond Elite members will receive an extra skip-the-line pass (3 total) each visit, a 2020 Golden bring-a-friend ticket, and triple Six Flags Membership Rewards points. These upgrades are valid the remainder of 2020.
