The City of Orlando is partnering with local businesses to provide an eight-week internship to young adults ages 16 to 25 living in City of Orlando Kidz Zones to gain hands-on experience working in their field of interest. Internships take place October 16, 2022 through December 10, 2022 with students working up to 15 hours a week starting at $10 an hour while receiving mentorship from seasoned professionals. After December 10, businesses can choose to keep the student as a regular employee. Before starting the internship, students will receive job skills training from September 19 through October 15 on topics such as resume building, financial literacy and professionalism.
