The resort is beautifully manicured. The entertainment was pretty good too. Day of the Dead festivities were a highlight. However, it wasn't even advertised and we didn't know until we came back to see the square all decorated. We would have probably made reservations had a personal concierge told us about the festivities. The cleaning staff did an amazing job of restocking and cleaning the rooms daily. That is where it ends though. I think if the resort put in as much passion as they did for the entertainment and manicuring the property as they did for the food service and operations, this would be worth going back to. The food was really really bad. We tried multiple 4 different restaurants throughout our stay and they were all subpar. Food was definitely repurposed from restaurant to restaurant and lacked variety. We couldn't even make reservations the first night because we got in after 4pm. This should be noted in the a welcome email so we can make sure dinner is all set for our arrived. We we told we had to eat at a horrible buffet. We tried ordering room service through the App which we were told to do. The next morning, breakfast never showed up. We ordered via the phone to be delivered at a specific time the next few days and it was an hour to an hour and half late. When people want to do excursions and need to get up and out, the timing matters. The mini fridge in one of our rooms leaked and after informing guest services, nothing was done other than a maintenance guy coming at 2 am to put a towel on the floor. It was never removed nor fixed. The jetted bath in 2 of the rooms leaked so much water from the spout, it drained onto the floor and we had to put towels down. In other words, the rooms are very dated. Drinks are heavily watered down and wine was always an upcharge. Needless to say, this wasn't the most amazing experience and in hindsight, I would skip this property in the future. We were very impressed with the quality and choice of food. All à la carte restaurant were really good. The staff @ the Bar / restaurant & the beach work so hard, they are all so attentive and professional. Our concierge was excellent and organized for my husband birthday few treats, like a birthday cake and bedroom set-up which was such a personal touch. Unfortunately reception team was not 5 star level, we had to deal with them on too many occasions during our stay and wasted lots hours as they we so slow and dismissive. We used the spa facility this was amazing best massage I have ever had. Such a nice experience. We also enjoyed the candle light dinner, was very romantic. The shows were also very good and beautiful to watch. The hotel ground is very well kept and we enjoy going to different area of resort. Loads of nights planned fire night. Mexican theme mirachi singers there's loads for everybody. We did some local cenotes also which we used collectivos was cheap. The staff are incredibly hardworking and will do all they can to make you happy.. Mudslides at the bar is a must and miami vice is also another big hitter... Our fave restaraunt was the Asian place and the Italians they were fantastic. We were given $1000 due to children being at a wedding we saw them once during our 2 weeks. Used the money for VIP nights spa treatments bottles of tequila. Was told about possible maintenence work during our stay by other guest on FB group we arrived and didn't have any issues cleaners are gardeners keep the place immaculate. Expierences others have had won't be the same you have. This place is incredible you won't be disappointed. The entertainment team, Daniel, Benjamin, Maria, Jaidy, Gabo always made sure we had fun and we loved playing volleyball every day with them! The food was really good, especially Klay Talay. The room was huge, clean and comfortable, there was a huge variety of food and places to eat which were all delicious, and there were also so many different pools and beaches to explore throughout the day. There was always something going on with so much do to around the resort and the entertainment team made up of Daniel, Benjamin, Jaidy, Maria & Gabo were always full of energy and making sure you were having a good time! There was also lots of excursions and things to do outside of the resort, the Xplor adventure park is well worth a visit! 10 days was not long enough at this amazing hotel!
