5 Steps to Start a Bosch Dishwasher

Starting an appliance might sound really easy. But appliances nowadays pack a lot of features. So it can be confusing to know how it actually works.

The functions and options differ between dishwasher manufacturers. Such as, resetting the KitchenAid dishwasher will differ from the Bosch dishwasher.

Bosch dishwasher has all the new features and options. So, getting confused is really normal. There are different modes for different types of washes. But starting and setting up the task for the appliance is the goal.

We have described the whole process in 5 easy steps below. Read them chronologically to understand the whole process.

Step 1: Load the Dishwasher

Very first thing to do is to load the dishwasher. A common mistake while loading the dishwasher is to overcrowd it. Putting too many dishes at once has multiple bad effects on the washer.

The worst thing that can happen is it will ruin your washer. Also, putting too many dishes will disrupt the water flow. Smooth flowing water makes sure a good clean. The size of the dishwasher may vary. But most of them are in a standard size of dishwashers.

So know what is the capacity of the washer and load it accordingly.

Step 2: Fill the Detergent Cup

The detergent cup is located on the door of the washer. The washer will take the soap according to the amount of dish you put in.

If you are looking to buy dishwasher detergent, take a look at it below. These are really effective dishwasher detergents:

Cascade Complete DishwasherDissolves fast and has extreme grease-washing powder Finish All In 1 Dishwasher DetergentHas the removal power to even remove the strongest stainCascade Platinum Dishwasher PodsPowerful and phosphate free

A small amount of these washing detergents goes a long way. So the detergent will last you a long time.

Make sure you have the detergent cup full. Otherwise, the wash will be incomplete or not as effective.

Step 3: Turn on the Washer

After you have the dishes loaded and fill the detergent, you can turn on the machine. You’ll find the start button on the door. All the buttons are visible at the top of the door when you open it.

The start button should be at the very left of the door. The button might be labeled as “On/Off”. Pressing the button will start the washer.

There might be a display in between the button layouts. The display will turn on and show the timer. The light above the normal mode button will glow up as well.

Step 4: Select the Right Mode

The washer is packed with all different kinds of options for cleaning. Picking the right mode of washing is important. If you have loaded really oily dishes, then using the “Heavy” mode is best.

But if this is a normal wash, using the “Normal” mode is effective. Other than heavy and normal modes, there are other modes as well.

The other modes are, “Quick Wash”, “Glass Care”, “Eco mode”, “Auto”, and “Rinse”. The modes buttons will be on the left side of the display. If you don’t want to know much, using the auto mode is the best.

On the other side, you’ll see the options button. The buttons should be labeled as, “Delay”, “Half Load”, “Delicate”, “Sanitize”, and “Extra Dry”. These are the options you need to select with the mode.

Step 5: Select the Mode and Press Start

Now when the modes are selected, press start. The start button will be at the very right of all the buttons. But if you want to start the washer for later, use the delay button. It will start the washer at the night or when you set it to.

If you don’t press the start button and close the door, the washer will beep. Also, the light will flash at the bottom. In that case, open the door again and press the start button and close the door.

The light at the bottom will stay steady and there will be no beeping. That means the wash has started. The light will turn off when the wash is over. Also, the machine will stop. Then you can bring the dishes out of the washer. Remember to drain the dishwasher.

By following all these steps you can start your Bosch dishwasher. All of the steps might seem like a lot of tasks, but then again you have the auto option. The auto option is a one-step method if you want the washer to do everything.
