If You are completely flushing and replacing the fluid then You should be able to use any fully synthetic ATF+4 fluid in the power steering system and it will work. It is important that You do not mix different types of fluid together in Your power steering system since it can damage the lines and reduce the effectiveness of it. It also is a good idea to check Your power steering fluid levels every time that You change the oil in Your vehicle. Oct 7, 2020 Hi guys looking to replace my steering fluid in my GMC Acadia 2013 my manual say to use dexron automatic transmission fluid but at my local store I can only get 2 kinds pic below one is 15 oem other is generic 6 dollars does it matter the price. And is it necessary to completely drain the fluid. thanks guys
