There were some blips in continuity -one staff member told me one thing about handling of a lab, and the wellness nurse got snippy with me and told me otherwise. She also treated me with insensitivity when I came into the facility after my loved one passed away. In looking for care for my loved one, I was led to believe it was different than what it actually was. Whether nursing home vs assisted living vs memory care, I kind of envisioned it to be a lot more hands on than it was, especially after the conversation I had with Sunrise about the level of care my loved one required. I did understand that unless someone was there 24/7, certain things couldn't be avoided, and there's only a certain number of staff in ratio to the residents. But I was led to believe it would be more individualized attention, especially in memory care with the extra surveillance needed. I believe my loved one had more falls due to lack of individualized attention. My loved one would wake in the night, and it was almost like they had never dealt with such a thing before. I was caught off guard by some of the challenges they were running into. I would have thought these would be a daily experience for them caring for residents with dementia. On the more positive side, the food looked appetizing and well presented, smelled good, and my loved one happily ate it. She also liked to participate in activities like cooking/baking, and singing. The staff members are all very friendly, and the folks who have managed my moms care have shown genuine interest when caring for her. Whenever my mom had any issues they were very on top of things and good with communication. They do also have great activities for residents when the pandemic is not going on. I would recommend to others looking. The interactions we have seen between the staff and the residents seems to be very genuine and they really do seem to care about those that live there. My mother's room is always clean and tidy and the bed is always made. There are never any bad smells! The staff is very friendly. My mother has gotten close with a couple of them in particular and they always recognize me when I visit. The care provided is very good. They also have various activities available for the residents like hair salons or bingo or crossword puzzles. We feel Sunrise is a great value. My sister is at Sunrise Memory Care, not me. Her family chose it for her. I don't know who helped them. I visit my sister about two or three times a week and have visited at different times of the day. I have met some of the receptionists, caregivers, people that seem to be in charge, and some residents. Some of those people are pleasant and seem happy to be there, some not so much. Some days it seems that Sunrise at Webb Gin might be understaffed. My sister seems to like the food. When I visit at eating time the food smells good, looks good and she eats every bit of it. I know caregiving is not easy. It is a special person that can do it well. A FIVE STAR Assisted Living Facility! Sunrise at Webb Gin is an excellent facility with excellent staff members. My mother's respite stay exceeded my expectations. From my initial inquiry to the end of her stay, we dealt with caring employees who ensured Mom was well cared for. She enjoyed the meals, the activities, the cleanliness and the level of security this location offered. We will definitely be using this facility again for short and long term stays. My Father was very picky and he was pleased with the facility and her care. The staff was amazing sweet, gentle, and seemed to truly care for her. I never heard the staff say anything ugly or demeaning to any of the residents, even when they were being stubborn or not wanting to cooperate. the food was so good. Mam gained weight when she first came to Sunrise. The whole immediately drawn to on our first tour. We felt a true sense of comfort and trust knowing she was in a safe, warm place with people who cared about her. I would give Sunrise 5 stars, would do many more if possible.
