ok. Overall we're happy with our purchase... but there were some paint imperfections, some of the pieces didn't fit together perfectly (especially in the drawer assembly, had to re-drill several areas & literally beat it with a hammer to get it in place after following instructions PERFECTLY!) Overall its slightly less sturdy than I had hoped when I climb up, but my 8yr old has no problems and loves it!Honestly I think it will last just fine till he outgrows it and it truly is perfect for the space we have currently. There were cheaper options that didn't have the functionality of this one & much more expensive ones that I'm sure probably would have a slightly sturdier build & finish quality... but I do think this was a good value & most families looking for a super functional loft bed will be very happy. Are bunk beds OK for adults?Yes, certain bunk beds are safe for adults.
People come in all shapes and sizes. The bunk beds you choose should be able to accommodate a heavier person as well as all the lighter ones. Look for bunk beds that are designed for 500 pounds. Usually, these are industrial-strength, metal bunk beds.
What age is OK for top bunk?Bunk Bed Safety Guidelines from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Children younger than 6-years-old should never sleep in the upper bunk. Parents should use night-lights to help kids see where they're going when they climb down from the top bunk. Kids should not be allowed to play on upper bunk beds.
