NM Workforce Connection Centers
The New Mexico Workforce Connection Centers are one-stop centers located in 21 communities statewide. Staff in each center assist businesses with posting their job openings on www.jobs.state.nm.us, special recruitment, analyzing hard to fill jobs, layoffs, job fairs, and skills assessments for hiring. For job seekers, staff assist with job search, job referrals and placement, and customized skill development like interviewing skills and resume writing. Secretary for the Department of Workforce SolutionsSarita Nair
Sarita Nair is a proven leader in the government field, most recently serving as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Albuquerque, overseeing 22 departments and a city budget of over $1.2 billion. Prior to working for the city, she was Chief Governmental Accountability Officer and General Counsel for the Office of the State Auditor. Before entering public service, Nair was a shareholder at the law firm of Sutin, Thayer & Browne, representing public and private clients in business matters, mergers and acquisitions, and financing. Before becoming a lawyer, Nair worked in the field of international development.
She holds a law degree and master of community and regional planning from the University of New Mexico, and a bachelor’s degree in African-American Studies from Wesleyan University.

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS), has various divisions and bureaus which enhance, support, and complement one another. These include: Administrative Services Division; AmeriCoprs and the New Mexico Commission for Community Volunteerism; Economic Research & Analysis Bureau; Employment Services Division; Labor Relations Division; Unemployment Insurance Division; and Workforce Technology Division.
