Those are both normal. The frame gets hot due the the regulator/rectifier and the fan should kick on around 220F and go off around 205F.

When a fuel injected bike won't crank when warm it's usually a bad sensor. Either the MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor or the IAT (intake air temp).

Get a hold of a manual ... it will have the specs for you to check out these sensors with a meter.

I have the same issue with my 2002 F4i. I don't think it
s my rectifier because it looks like it's been changed with a Gixxer model. I have to try and bump start the bike. Sometimes it works and when it doesn't I sometimes hit the switch after I've rolled it down the street a bit and it will fire up but really slowly like it wants to die again from lack of voltage. I'm thinking I may have a bad battery.

My whole dash will reset as well. If I hold the starter button down it will crank just a bit and everything will turn off until I release the button then everything will come back on. The starter will not continue to click as if it has low voltage.

Could it still be one of the sensors?

Why does my motorcycle not start when hot?

A motorcycle that does not start when it is hot could be caused by a weak battery, failing coil or starter, or dirty temperature sensors. Vapor lock, a flooded carburetor or vacuum leak, or too tight valve clearances could also cause a bike not to start when the engine is hot.

What causes hard starting in motorcycle?

Poor starting is often caused by a dirty or faulty spark plug, particularly on older 2-strokes. As this is one of the easiest checks, the mechanic should remove the plug and carry out a spark test by laying the plug onto the cylinder head then turning the engine over with the ignition on.

Why does my motorcycle sometimes not start?

Most of the time if your bike will not start it is something as simple as making sure the fuel control valve is not clogged with rust; making sure corrosion has not built up within the valve itself causing dry rot, cracking, or leaking.

How do you tell if a motorcycle has a bad starter?

Symptoms of a bad motorcycle starter may include the motorcycle not being able to start at all, the motorcycle only starting intermittently, hearing the starter running even when the engine has already started, and being able to hear a strange clicking sound from the starter.
