The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is a principal department of state of Michigan, headquartered in Lansing, that provides public assistance, child and family welfare services, and oversees health policy and management, including mental health and substance abuse services.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) can help Michigan residents with services and temporary
assistance when times are tough. MDHHS services include: food assistance, cash assistance, child care, medical assistance, home weatherization, utility assistance, burial services, child support, foster care and adoption, abuse and neglect. Eligibility is based on the financial situation of all members in a household. MDHHS will review your assets, income, and residency to determine what, if any, benefits you may be eligible for.
