Baby you understand me now Writer(s): MARCUS SOL, BENJAMIN BENNIE, CALDWELL GLORIA
Lyrics powered by www.musixmatch.comDon't Let Me Be Misunderstood Lyrics
If sometimes you see that I'm mad
Don't you know no one alive can always be an angel?
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Yaou know sometimes baby, I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And then sometimes again it seems that all
I have is worry
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
If I seem edgy, I want you to know
I never mean to take it out on you
Life has its problems
And I get more than my share
But that's one thing I never mean to do
Oh baby, I'm just human
Don't you know I have faults like anyone?
Sometimes I find
myself alone regretting
Some little foolish thing
'Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Don't let me be misunderstood
I try so hard
So please don't let me be misunderstood

Baby, do you understand me now, Writer(s): CALDWELL GLORIA, BENJAMIN BENNIE, MARCUS SOL
Lyrics powered by www.musixmatch.comPlease Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood Lyrics
Sometimes I feel a little mad.
But, don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel.
When things go wrong I feel real bad.
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good,
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.
Baby, sometimes I'm so
carefree,
With a joy that's hard to hide.
And sometimes it seems that, all I have to do is worry
And then you're bound to see my other side.
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good,
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.
If I seem edgy,
I want you to know,
That I never mean to take it out on you.
Life has its problems,
And I get
my share,
And that's one thing I never mean to do,
'Cause I love you,
Oh,
Oh, oh, oh, baby - don't you know I'm human.
I have thoughts like any other one.
Sometimes I find myself, Lord, regretting,
Some foolish thing - some little simple thing I've done.
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good,
Oh Lord, please don't let me be
misunderstood.

Baby, do you understand me now
Sometimes I feel a little mad
Well don't you know that no-one alive
Can always be an angel
When things go wrong I seem to be bad
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And
sometimes it seems that
All I have to do is worry
And then you're bound to see my other side

If you're from New York City, you may have heard the version performed by Elvis
Costello on WNEW-FM 102.7. He
recorded it live @ the Heartbreak on Varick
Street for a Valentines Day party back in 1984 and it still gets considerable
airplay
all these 15 years later

Yep...it was also a (minor, I seem to remember) hit single for him in the UK
in a
studio version...
