DLA employees can provide employment verification right from their DLA workstation. The MyBiz+ Employment Verification Tool allows you to submit employment verifications to an external organization, such as a business or bank, via a secure Internet connection. Lenders do not have access to this information and cannot gain access to this information. The tool gives you complete control over who can receive and view this information.
To have an employment verification emailed to your lender or service provider, start by accessing your MyBiz+ account:
- Log into the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) Portal.
- Select “Smart Card Log In.” If you have never registered your smart card, please visit the DLA HR Systems page and open the DCPDS section.
- If asked to “Choose Your Path,” click the purple block with “HR MyBiz+ DLA.”
- Read and accept the Privacy Act Statement
- Under Key Services, select “Request Employment Verification.”
- Select your Information to Send, either “Employment Information” or “Employment and Salary Information.”
- Enter recipient email address in the “To” field, and verify your work email address is correct in the “My Email” field. Click “Continue.”
- Select "Continue" to "Acknowledge and Submit" to send your employment verification.
- For extra security, you will receive an email with a Document Password. It is your responsibility to provide this password to the recipient to open the Employment Verification.
Once you send this information and the pass code to the lender or potential employer, your verification is complete.

MyBiz: Employment Verification Process - DoD Employees
My Biz allows employees access to view information from their official personnel records including appointment, position, personal info, salary, benefits, awards and bonuses, performance, and personnel actions (view/print SF50's).
In addition, employees may update their telephone number and email address, disability codes, Race and National Origin (Ethnicity and Race Identification), and foreign language proficiency.
- Access DCPDS Portal
(MyBiz) with your CAC Card.
- First Time Users click "Register"
- Enter User ID and Password
- Your USER ID and PASSWORD is your Social Security Number (SSN) with dashes (example 123-45-6789).
- You will enter your SSN a total of (4) FOUR times.
- Once you have gained access and return to the site click "Login" under Returning Smart Card user.

The Department of Defense does not verify employment for active-duty military members or for civilian employees by telephone. If you represent an organization that is seeking employment verification of a military member or if DOD civilian employee is applying to your organization for a service or job, please use the contact phone numbers on the person's application or resume to reach the DOD office or military organization at which they work or have worked.
Employment verification at the DOD level is managed through websites or through the military services.
For Current DOD Civilian Employees:
The Defense Civilian Employment Verification is an online self-service tool allowing current DOD employees to send employment and/ or salary information to an external organization (business, bank, credit union) or person directly from the
Defense Civilian Personnel Data System in a password-protected document via email.
For DOD Civilian Retirees and Military Retirees:
Your Retiree Account Statement contains information on your pay and deductions that many potential creditors require, and your latest RAS is always available on myPay. You may also request a hard copy RAS be mailed to you by calling the Retired and Annuitant Pay Customer Care Center at 1-800-321-1080. Learn more at

For Currently Serving Military Members:
There are times when you may need to
verify your status as a military member. Whether you are renting an apartment, purchasing a car or other reason, your Leave and Earning Statement (available via myPay) provides details on your pay grade, pay and entitlements, and deductions. There may be times when the business you are dealing with desires more than your LES or ID card as proof of your current military status. In these cases, we recommend
you contact your personnel or finance office for assistance.
For Military Service Verification Under the Civil Relief Act:
SCRA is a program that provides certain protections in lending for service members who are called to Active Duty. Lenders seeking to verify active-duty status for military members, as authorized under the SCRA may do so using the Defense Manpower Data Center SCRA website.
