How to get a refund for apple subscription

If you paid for your subscription through iTunes using the Go Premium button in the Apple version of Screen Time.

Apple controls those payment and not Screen Time so, we’re sorry, but we can’t issue refunds. Follow the steps below to get a refund from Apple.

iTunes and App Store refunds usually take two days to process and you might be contacted by Apple so they can check the reason for the refund.

Refunds through iTunes

  1. Open iTunes on either your Mac or Windows PC.
  2. Click on your name at the top and in the dropdown select Account Info.
  3. Type in your password when prompted in order to proceed.
  4. Click on See All under your Purchase History.
  5. Click on the arrow next to the purchase batch that contains the purchase you’d like a refund for.
  6. Click on Report a Problem next to the single purchase you’d like a refund for, unless there is only one, then you may use the large Report a Problem button.
  7. You will be taken to Apple’s website. Follow the steps after signing in and request the Refund option and explain why.

Refunds using the web

  1. Go to Apple’s problem reports page: https://reportaproblem.apple.com/
  2. Login with your Apple ID user name (typically your email address) and password.
  3. Select the appropriate tab—all, music, movies, TV shows, apps, or books.
  4. Find the purchase you want refunded.
  5. Select Report a Problem to the right of the purchase.
  6. Select the reason you want the refund.
  7. Fill in the description, as appropriate.
  8. Select Submit.

How to get a refund using your iPhone or iPad

Apple hasn’t built any links to problem reporting into the iTunes Store or App Store apps, so if you’re stuck using the web on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad as well. If it’s more convenient, you can go directly to problem reporting via your email receipt.

  1. Launch Mail from your Home screen.
  2. Search for “Your receipt from Apple” if it’s not immediately visible.
  3. Tap on the receipt for the purchase your want refunded. (Unless you remember the date, there’s no way to tell which receipt is which unless you tap it to open it, so you might end up tapping a lot…)
  4. Tap the purchase you want to report.

From this point on you’re in Safari and performing the same steps as described in the web browser section, above.

1. If you purchased your subscription on an iOS device, in the AppStore:

You will have to contact iTunes Support as refunds must be issued by the iTunes Support team directly and the BetterSleep does not have access to them (see iTunes Terms of Service for more information). You can reach out to them via the page below:

  • Go to Billing & Subscriptions

  • Select Subscriptions & Purchases

  • Select Request a refund

  • Select Email Support

    * Useful tip: The App Store and iTunes Store policies state that all sales are final, though there are some exceptions:

  • If the purchase was accidental

  • If you have duplicate purchases

  • If the app does not work as described

  • If you are charged but do not receive the item

  • If the app is not compatible with your device

2. If you purchased your subscription on an Android device, in the Google Play Store:

You may request a refund through the BetterSleep support team within 30 days from your date of purchase. Make sure to include the following in your request:

  1. Your Google Play transaction number (starts with GPA.) or tell us which email address is linked to your Google Account

  2. The reason for your refund request


3. If you purchased your subscription on our website BetterSleep.com, please send us the invoice or receipt number of your purchase. It is located in the email sent after the purchase was made.

Is it possible to get a refund on an Apple subscription?

Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com. Tap or click "I'd like to," then choose "Request a refund." Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next. Choose the app, subscription, or other item, then choose Submit.

How long does it take Apple to refund a subscription?
