Kadokawa Shoten’s shonen manga magazine Monthly Shonen Ace debuted the series on March 25, 2014, with art by Yuya Kurokami and kabuki by Karuna Kanzaki. The first three chapters of the sequel may be seen on the Comic Walker website. The collection consists of roughly twelve tankoban volumes.

An “important announcement” regarding the series was promised in May 2016 on Karuna Kanzaki’s official Twitter profile, and on June 26, 2016, the August issue of Monthly Shonen Ace was released. Kadokawa first confirmed the news of an anime adaptation on June 19, 2016. Silver Link and Connect are responsible for making the anime.

Staff members like director Hideki Tachibana & writer Kento Shimoyama were fan favorites of this animation. Hiromi Mizutani, a member of Team-MACX, composed the score, and Shoko Takimoto designed the characters. The original broadcast season of the show aired from April 2017 until June 2017. The North American distribution rights were licensed to Filmworks. MVM Films also distributed the series in the United Kingdom.

The anime’s first season ran from April 2017 to June 2017 and consisted of twelve episodes. Despite widespread praise and a sizable fan base, no news was ever made about Season 2.

The first three chapters of the twelve-volume manga series Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism are available at no cost. The producers will have plenty of material to work with if the show is renewed. The growing number of fans hoping for an update suggests that a new season announcement might arrive at any time.

Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism Recap

A rebellious adolescent who loves nothing more than his independence, Fudou Nomura is a constant source of trouble. After being a constant distraction to the entire student body, he was finally expelled after being caught in a fight with forty onlookers. Following that, Fudou was enrolled at Aiichi Academy. Until very recently, Aichi Academy was a women-only institution of higher learning. Before Fudou’s enrollment, it had not previously been a co-educational institution; this shift had been made to facilitate the teaching of morals & physical re-education.

Founded by women, Aichi Academy is organized in a matriarchy. The Supreme Five Swords is the name given to a group of five female leaders at one boarding school because they are permitted to use weapons to enforce discipline and punish male students.

Fudou is oblivious to this and enrolls in the academy, where he is subjected to various ludicrous regulations. He is told to ditch his pants for a skirt and cover his face in cosmetics like the other guys who come out on the losing end of sword fights. Fudou, a libertarian, uses his physical prowess, charisma, and quick wit to win over the “anti-man” group.

Armed Girl’s Machiavellism Season 2: Renewal Status!

Silver Link and Connect co-produced the debut season of the anime series. After releasing the debut episode, both of the studios are pretty quite lipped about the future of the series. For the past three years, the fans have been waiting for them to officially announce the fate of the series. Connect or Silver Link neither renewed nor canceled Armed Girl’s Machiavellism Season 2. Therefore, its fans are still in the hope that sooner or later, the anime series will return with its second season.

Is There Enough Source Material?

As we mentioned above, the anime followed its plot from the manga. Therefore to make further seasons of the anime, the studios need source material to follow. The author of the manga series has published 11 volumes so far, with the latest one being released on November 25, 2020. The inaugural season of the anime only adapted the first few volumes of the manga series. And that means the studios have more than enough source material to create Armed Girl’s Machiavellism Season 2. The manga is still ongoing, so with time, the makers will have more chapters to adapt from.

Armed Girl’s Machiavellism Season 2: Will The Anime Ever Return?

The debut season of the anime series concluded the storyline completely. However, it still has a lot of stories left to tell. But it is very rare to see the makers renewing the anime series after providing a proper conclusion. And that is the same case with this show as well. Therefore it might be the reason why Silver Link and Connect haven’t renewed the series.

Over the course of these past three years, the popularity of the anime series has also decreased. The only positive thing is that the makers have enough source material for the second season. So, it seems like the odds are not in favor of Armed Girl’s Machiavellism Season 2. Currently, the chances for the anime to return are very less until and unless the makers change their minds.
