1.0 out of 5 stars Color not accurate

The color was completely wrong. I followed directions on the pen along with advice from other reviewers to shake it for a really long time (20 minutes). It looked like a champagne/off-white color and not a pure white.I was trying to touch up tiny rock dings/scrapes on the bumper. Thankfully it was easily wiped away with a little acetone with no damage to the original clear coat.

Works as expected. Be sure to shake it a lot. Then, apply to a piece of paper until the white color becomes black.

I ordered the "Titanium Flash Mica 42S OEM Mazda Touch-Up Pen" , and in my experience with the pen I found that it helps more on filling mild to deep paint scratches, small areas of paint scraping and very small paint dents as well.
Using the touch-up pen on fine scratches makes the paint to "seat" over the scratch , not filling the scratch or letting the paint from the pen to integrate with the already existing car paint coating.
Also if you purchase the touch-up pen I would recommend you to shake the pen between 5-10 minutes for best results (Im not kidding, the shaking makes a lot of difference when applying the paint over the car body, as the color from the pen will match more the paint on your car but not 100%)
Also the best technique in my opinion works by doing small pen "pressings" and not by "squeezing", the pressing of the pen into the scratch automatically releases small quantities of paint to fill the scratch, if you press and then squeeze then a lot of paint comes out overflowing over the scratch and making a mess by overfilling the working area , therefore granting you less control on how you can paint the scratch or dent, so remember small tiny pen pressings and pull the pen from the scratch.
Finally, It depends on where you put the paint, not how much you splash on...the touch-up pen does not work miracles but it helps you cover those scratches and to make them less visible, it does what is suppose to do, to be a "touch-up" not a professional solution,so if you need to really fix scratches or dents 100% then take your car to your official Mazda dealership or to a professional body shop.
I hope this information was helpful so can you use this item to the fullest of its capabilities!

Matches the color perfectly as the Fiat was built by Mazda. The only issue with this "pen" system is for some small nicks and scratches, I find the paint comes out too thick so it can't really target a thin and shallow scratch and keep very even with the surface. On some bad, deep paint damage it worked wonders and I could barely tell that the paint was damaged down to the metal surface, but on the shallow and thinner scratches, I couldn't get quite as good of an application - and when I tried smoothing it out it just smears over the unscratched area. Maybe I'm just bad at applying it. The product does a fine job otherwise.

When I first got this product for my 2016 Mazda3 I followed the package directions and shook the paint for 1-2 minutes before use. IT WAS AN ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE COLOR MATCH doing it this way...produced more of a silver, almost stainless steel in color. I was super frustrated because honestly, it looked worse than before I had tried to do the touch ups. But then I read a few places that people were saying to shake the product for like 15-20 minutes...no joke. I figured, "what do I have to lose at this point", so I tried that and much to my surprise it actually worked! I shook the product for about 20 minutes straight and after that it was an almost perfect color match. The only problem at that point was trying to "touch up" the places that I had already touched up the first time...ended up looking a little bumpy but the places that I touched up for the first time with the paint being shaken for the extended time look great. The directions on the packaging should be changed, for sure. 1-2 minutes just isn't going to get the job done.

Was very disappointed at first shook paint pen for 5min . Car is titanium metallic pen paint came out silver metallic . Read reviews about shaking pen 20 minutes used pen matched almost perfectly even obtained closer match beyond 20 minutes of shaking . Also had to squeeze pen tube to get a greater amount of paint to come out. Never seen anything like it mixed plenty of paint pens before. Shake shake and more shake.
